"Miami to Key West transportation is provided daily by operators of buses/shuttles, airplanes, and ferries. One of the better ways to travel from Miami to Key West, both in Florida, is by car. While this option may be appealing for tourists, they are not always recommended to drive to Key West because of strict speed limits particularly through reserve areas. While driving to Key West may be daunting to tourists unfamiliar with the Florida segment of the U.S. Highway 1, more seasoned tourists and Miami locals always prefer to drive.
The Florida Keys, of which Key West is a part of, are a group of islands that extend in a curve from the tip of Florida and connect the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean. Key West, which is the jewel of the Keys, is a major tourist destination with millions visiting from Miami annually. Once at Key West, the visitor can stroll through maritime museums and historic sites in the Old Town section. Visitors can also enjoy conch salad and key lime pie at the island’s numerous restaurants. Tourists can also visit the beaches where Tennessee Williams had dipped in and they can also go to the pubs that Ernest Hemmingway had visited."
