The Everglades National Park which is a World Heritage Site is a haven for many endangered animals and over 1,000 species of plants. This 1.5 million acres lush green area is one of the largest parks. There are four visitor centers namely: Ernest Coe Visitor Center which is open throughout the year. The Everglades consists of more than half of the Florida Bay. Visitors can begin this fascinating tour with the use of trails in the park which allow visitors to experience an adventurous walk. Visitors come across a wide array of wide life like deer, sand hill cranes, purple gallinules, and many exotic birds. Sometimes people might also come across alligators, various turtles, and tilapia as they walk by the river bed which flows across the trails. Some of the areas within the park are highly protected where visitors are instructed to be quiet to avoid scaring the animals. Visitors can also avail the guided tours which gives more insight into the flora and fauna in this national park.
Apart from the trail, visitors can also experience wildlife with the help of Shark Valley Tram Tours. The two hours guided tour is priced 19 dollars per person.
